Inventory Associate – Pharmacy

Position Overview:

The Pharmacy (Rx) Inventory Associate is responsible for physically counting inventory with inventory counting equipment for pharmacy clients across various locations and accurately entering information into WIS equipment. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Achieves established average per hour (APH) counting goals while ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data collected in all inventories worked
  • Communicates information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation
  • Works one-on-one with Pharmacy professionals at the event
  • Completes pharmacy training modules in the Learning Center, as required
  • Creates partnerships and instills trust and confidence in one's abilities, based upon demonstrated expertise
  • Takes initiative to explore and suggest new approaches that can impact quality and/or quantity of job performance and organizational effectiveness
  • Due to the nature of pharmaceutical products, pharmacy personnel and WIS Supervisors work closely with the Rx Inventory Associates to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assists with events in healthcare and retail settings, as needed

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment Investigative Consumer Report and drug screen in accordance with company guidelines

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Prior teamwork experience in a customer service setting preferred
  • Prior teamwork experience in a pharmacy and/or retail setting preferred

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time with frequent walking; the ability to use both hands and wrists for repetitive motions; the ability to frequently be in low level positions, such as squatting, kneeling, or crouching; the ability to frequently use a ladder; the ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.; the ability to frequently travel via car.

WIS Retail Pharmacy Associate – What You will Do

  • Count and record inventory with precision- Accuracy matters here. You will partner one-on-one with healthcare professionals, at an inventory event, capturing part numbers, serial numbers, NDCS and expiration dates of medical devices and/or medication

Team Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • We are also looking for associates with experience in Pharmacy, Retail, Stock, Customer Service, Cashiers, Sales Representatives, Driver and/or Warehouse work. Make your experience count
  • No inventory experience? No problem. If you can bring the discipline, we will train the rest.
    • Preferred prior experience in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, clinic, pharmacy, medical office, and/or medical sales environment
  • Completes pharmacy and hospital training certification, as required

  • Complies with all healthcare and pharmacy customer standards, including but not limited to screening requirements, PPE requirements and confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and stay active during shifts
  • Comfort learning handheld scanners or count tools
  • Strong focus and attention to detail
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to consistency
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
