Staff Pharmacist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring safe and effective medication management. Responsibilities

• Review and interpret medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Provide patient assessments and counseling on medication therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in emergency room and ICU settings to optimize patient care.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication regimens as necessary.
• Educate patients and healthcare staff on medical terminology and physiology related to medications.
• Participate in pharmacy residency programs, if applicable, to enhance clinical skills.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and best practices in pharmacy.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy or critical care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or ICUs.
• Previous experience or completion of a pharmacy residency is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
