Skald Coffee

In Norse culture, a Skald was a storyteller and poet who kept oral tradition and who through song and story built the reputation of the great men and women of their day. Our company was founded to create gathering places where exceptional coffee and food sparks genuine conversation, honoring the ancient tradition of storytelling and building community.

Skald Coffee got its start by selling our coffee online in 2023 – branching out to create Skald Eats, our first seasonal food truck summer of 2024, the Skald Coffee Café in Bigfork fall of 2024, our second food truck in the spring of 2025, and now our second Skald Coffee Café opening fall 2025

Everyone has a story. Tell yours.

We are committed to building and growing a team of people who can catch the vision and work together to support our mission and company culture.

Culture is one of those words that gets thrown around all the time but can mean just about anything. To give a clearer idea what we are talking about, here are some of the key components of Skald culture:

  • Humility – Being teachable and understanding everyone's story is important.
  • Accountability – Willingness to own your mistakes and learn from them.
  • Genuineness – Caring authentically about people and recognizing the impact you have on people.
  • Flexibility – Being able to roll with changes and adapt.
  • Enjoy the Work – Love what you do and don't dread going to work.
  • Drama-Free Environment – We want to be a place people escape to, not from.
  • High Quality – Providing the best experience and products we are proud to sell.
