Qualifications:

· Candidates must have a valid driver's license, passport, and personal car.

· The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills; must have exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.

· A strong mechanical aptitude, effective computer skills, some basic electronics, and a demonstrated ability to work independently are a must in this position.

· Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field (e.g. Chemistry, Engineering) preferred. Repair of GC, GCMS, HPLC, LCMS, MS, or IC required, experience with chemistry / method development would be advantageous.

· Organization and attention to detail is a necessity. The successful candidate should have an outgoing personality, be very self-motivated, and feel comfortable in an environment where the fine details are critical.

Duties:

  • Ability to work independently; meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Understanding of good laboratory practices, method development, SOP's and other quality control aspects.
  • Daily meeting with the Service Coordinator or Manager to determine the priorities for shipments, repairs, projects, and warehouse activities.
  • Testing, certification, or qualification of laboratory instrumentation at the home office and/or at the customer's location.
  • Repair, reconditioning, testing of instruments at the customer site or at the home office.
  • Following established repair documentation for repairs and certified pre-owned equipment.
  • Follow, update, and create processes and/or repair manuals.
  • Ship and receive items in the warehouse when required.
  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs occasionally and up to 30lbs on a consistent basis.
  • Ensuring consumables and supplies for the field work (or bench repair program) are maintained.
  • Manage repair facility tasks, ensuring projects are completed on-time, records are maintained, documentation completed and filed.
  • Ability to travel overnight roughly 40%. This position could require overnight travel for 7 over nights in a given month (16 overnights is considered 100%). Traveling locally, up to 5 hours, and returning home the same day is also possible. In addition, 1-2 week training classes out of state (or out of country) may be required on an annual basis.

Education:

Post-secondary diploma in a related field required. Candidates with technical diplomas in chemistry or electronics are encouraged to apply. A salary will be based on level of education and years of experience.

Compensation:

Compensation is based upon experience and qualifications. Resolution Labs has a competitive performance-based compensation package. Resolution Labs supplies the necessary tools to carry out this job in a safe and productive manner. This position is considered a midlevel position, with 3-6 years' work experience preferred.

Location:

Representative's home office should be in the state of North Carolina, located in or near a major airport hub/city. Travel throughout the Southeast and Midwest will be required but the primary role is to service Southeast. After initial training an additional 1-2 week travel, for annual training, throughout the US may be required.
