Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Brunch Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, and kitchen operations, with a focus on delivering high-quality brunch dishes in a fine dining or restaurant setting. This role requires culinary expertise, excellent knife skills, and a commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction. The Brunch Cook will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food handling and presentation. We have an executive chef that will be running the kitchen and creating menus.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of brunch dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and development for brunch offerings, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative recipes
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy brunch hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for replenishment of ingredients and supplies
- Uphold high standards of food presentation, taste, and portion control
- Support catering events or special functions as needed, providing exceptional food service
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or culinary environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation for diverse dishes
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and fine dining service preferred
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak brunch hours
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Culinary experience with the food industry, including restaurant or catering experience, is highly desirable
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
