Service Technician – Anderson Poolworks

Pay Range: $24.00 per hour - DOE
Full-Time | Year-Round | Career Track Position

Are You the Technician We've Been Looking For?

Do you take pride in solving problems others can't?
Do you like working independently but still want a rock-solid team behind you?
Do you communicate well, stay organized, and appreciate a day that keeps you moving?
Do you want a real career where your skill set grows and your standards actually matter?

At Anderson Poolworks, we maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and optimize some of the most complex aquatic systems in the Northwest — from high-end residential pools to commercial facilities, wellness centers, resorts, and everything in between. If you bring the right mindset, we'll train you into a top-tier professional.

What You'll Do

As a Service Technician, you'll work directly on equipment, chemistry, hydraulics, and customer-facing responsibilities across our entire service portfolio.

You'll support all sides of APW service operations — weekly maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, renovations, startups, and warranty response.

You'll gain experience in areas such as:

  • Weekly and biweekly residential and commercial pool and spa maintenance
  • Water chemistry management and balancing
  • Pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, and chemical controllers
  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Equipment repairs and replacements
  • Leak detection support
  • Renovation and modernization support
  • Seasonal openings and closings
  • Service reporting and communication
  • Supporting construction teams when schedules or seasons demand it

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Executing scheduled service routes efficiently
  • Maintaining detailed service logs through Skimmer
  • Communicating clearly with customers and internal teams
  • Keeping service trucks clean, stocked, and organized
  • Identifying issues before they become problems
  • Representing APW with professionalism
  • Following our standards for quality, communication, and safety

What We're Really Looking For

We're not hiring warm bodies. We're hiring people who want to build a career.

You'll fit in here if:

  • You show up early and ready to work
  • You communicate clearly and respectfully
  • You take initiative and solve problems
  • You stay calm under pressure
  • You care about doing things right the first time
  • You take ownership of your route, truck, and results
  • You want a long-term home

Required for this role:

· Valid driver's license

· Clean driving record

· Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment

Preferred (but not required):

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
  • Experience as a pool or spa technician
  • Experience with automation, heaters, pumps, and controllers

If you don't have the experience but you bring the right attitude, we'll train you.

Our Fundamentals — The APW Standard

We operate on behaviors that protect our reputation and drive results. You'll be expected to live these every day:

  • Be a fanatic about response time
  • Move with efficiency and urgency
  • Take full ownership — start to finish
  • Stay organized
  • Treat people with respect
  • Do what you say
  • Finish work like it's your own backyard

These aren't slogans. They're non-negotiables.

Why APW Stands Above Any Competitor

  • We maintain and repair systems most others won't touch
  • We invest heavily in tools, training, and certifications
  • We're trusted across the Northwest and beyond
  • We solve problems others walk away from
  • We promote from within
  • We provide steady, year-round work
  • We operate with discipline and professional standards
  • We run all service through Skimmer for clarity and accountability

Competitors talk about quality. We deliver it — every day.

Do Not Apply If

  • You show up late or "right on time"
  • You miss work frequently
  • Are a slow walker
  • You complain more than you contribute
  • You avoid responsibility
  • You want the paycheck but not the standard
  • You can't work independently or communicate professionally with customers

What You'll Get

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Retirement plan and pension
  • Profit sharing
  • Paid vacation
  • Year-round work
  • Hands-on training and certification support
  • A team that has your back
  • A company that rewards effort and ownership
