Total Joint Solutions is seeking a professional and patient-focused Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a positive experience while supporting smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Reception & Customer Service
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
- Provide information and assistance regarding appointments, paperwork, and clinic processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance, and required documents at each visit.
- Collect co-pays, outstanding balances, and obtain required signatures.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient intake forms.
- Schedule new and follow-up appointments, diagnostic tests, and surgical consultations.
- Manage confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow.
- Answer and route phone calls using a multi-line phone system.
- Maintain patient records in the EMR/EHR.
- Handle mail, faxes, scanning, and general office correspondence.
- Assist with insurance verifications and prior authorizations as needed.
- Support clinic leadership with administrative tasks and reporting.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and clinic policies at all times.
- Handle sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality.
- Follow established workflows and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of front desk, medical receptionist, or customer service experience (healthcare preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR/EHR systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally (files, supplies, etc.).

- Monday–Friday or per clinic operational schedule
- Occasional extended hours depending on patient volume
