About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing team in Winchester, MA and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents while supervising nursing support staff in a collaborative, resident-centered environment.
Responsibilities:- Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with facility policies and safe nursing practices
- Supervise CNAs and other nursing support staff on assigned units
- Administer medications and monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions
- Accurately transcribe and carry out the physician's orders
- Perform wound care and treatments as ordered
- Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition
- Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Provide hands-on clinical care, including wound care, tube feedings, IV administration, suctioning, and colostomy care
- Conduct rounds to ensure resident needs are met
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and participate in care planning
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and effective communication
- Assist with state surveys and inspections as needed
- Graduate of an approved LPN program
- Current, unencumbered State of Massachusetts LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred (not required)
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to handle various situations with tact and professionalism
