FINAL PAY RATE WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE

DUTIES

  • Safely operate a 10-Wheeler Flatbed truck to transport products to and from customer locations/job sites as directed and in accordance with all state, local, and federal laws as well as all DOT regulations

  • Complete all Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections and operate the vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations

  • Responsible for loading and unloading all cargo and ensuring all items are secure using the proper restraints in accordance with all laws and regulations

  • Appropriate safety gear is required and expected to be worn at all times

  • Follow all delivery schedules and verify directions before leaving the yard to ensure all deliveries are dropped at the appropriate customer location/job site and to ensure efficient and safe navigation to locations.

  • Responsible for ensuring all orders are correct before and after delivery

  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner

  • Keep truck and equipment in excellent condition at all times and perform minor maintenance and cleaning when required. This includes the interior of the vehicle as well as the outside.

  • Notify the mechanic of any issues immediately so that they can be corrected as soon as possible

  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, delivery times, locations, etc. and submit daily

  • Accept payments when required

  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

- All applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

  • All applicants must be 21 years of age or older

  • All applicants must possess a valid Texas Class B or Class A Texas driver's license, air brake endorsement and a clean driving record

  • All applicants must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable driving experience

  • All applicants must have previous experience operating a Moffett, Manitou, or other truck-mounted forklift

  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and exert 10 – 100 pounds of force continually

  • Must be able to climb into and out of tractor/truck several times a day using 3 points of contact

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and crawl to perform full Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, supervisors, and upper management

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
