The Veterans Connection Hub Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director at the designated U.S.VETS site. With supervision, the Veterans Connection Hub Coordinator (VCHC) is responsible for the daily operations of the U.S.VETS Veterans Connection Hub, the organization's integrated access point for prevention, outreach, and connection to comprehensive services.

Responsibilities
Direct Services & Veteran Engagement
Greets, screens, and engages veterans seeking services through walk-ins, phone inquiries, and community referrals. Conducts initial assessments and prevention screenings using U.S.VETS-approved tools. Provides warm handoffs to internal programs such as Master Leasing, SSVF, GPD Aftercare, Women Vets on Point, Outside the Wire, Suicide Prevention, Workforce Development, and Housing Navigation. Schedules appointments, follow-ups, and direct connections to community partners for housing, benefits, legal services, medical/behavioral health care, employment, and supportive resources. Maintains a welcoming, nonjudgmental, trauma-informed environment for all veterans. Hub Operations & Coordination
Oversees daily operations of the Veterans Connection Hub, ensuring smooth intake flow and positive customer experience. Triages veteran needs and prioritizes urgent cases such as imminent risk of homelessness, crisis situations, or safety concerns. Coordinates the service desk, tracking both scheduled and unscheduled visits. Maintains the Hub calendar, partner appointments, and space-sharing arrangements for co-located service providers. In collaboration with supervisor, facilitates partnership MOU's, agreements, and/or contracts. Assists with coordinating volunteer activities & potential volunteer projects Assists with event planning for annual and other periodic events for donors, partners, clients, and staff Coordinates shipping and post office mailings and tracks receipt of products and donations
Monitors inventory and ensures availability of basic needs and other supplies (office Monitors and maintains supply inventory, coordinates approved purchases, submits purchase orders, allocates expenses, and monitors vendor balances Coordinates with program staff to submit requests for supportive service funds to meet client needs Assists with accounting functions and coordinates with National Accounts Payable to ensure all deposits and expenses are documented, coded, and submitted timely Community Partnerships & Collaboration
Serves as a liaison with local VA partners, colleges, community agencies, and veteran service organizations. Organizes regular partner days, resource events, and outreach activities that enhance access to services. Builds and maintains strong collaborations that support prevention. Data Management & Compliance
Tracks outcomes, daily traffic, and performance indicators for reporting requirements. Ensures compliance with U.S.VETS policies, federal/state/local regulations, and funder standards. Maintains the central databases of client and program information through Microsoft Excel, HMIS, My Case Records, and QuickBooks ensuring compliance with grant and funder requirements Ensures annual hub inspections are conducted and licenses renewed as applicable. Assists in maintaining and compiling data for grant applications, reports, budget tracking, and billings Teamwork & Organizational Support
Participates in site-wide meetings, trainings, and cross-functional case conferences. Contributes to a collaborative culture that supports U.S.VETS core values. Assists with program audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement efforts. Supports special projects, events, and community engagement efforts as assigned Performs other duties as required Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social services or other related field required Experience working with veteran population preferred Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of clients, staff, and community members Excellent written and oral communication skills Leadership and conflict management skills Demonstration of personal and financial integrity in the workplace Ability to take direction, work independently with minimal oversight, and to work within a team Computer proficient in Microsoft Office tools and other databases Proficient in data entry, analyzing and assessing data to identify trends Ability to lift 50 lbs.
