Inside Sales (PO Operations) – Bilingual Japanese / English

Location: Silicon Valley / Bay Area, CA (On-site, daily office attendance required)

Employment Type: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Job Summary

A global manufacturing company in the Bay Area is seeking a Bilingual Inside Sales professional to support Purchase Order operations, customer support, and inventory control. This role requires close coordination with customers, sales teams, and factories to ensure accurate order processing and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Purchase Order Operations

• Process purchase orders received via EDI, web portals, and email
• Prepare sales orders and invoices based on spot orders and consignment usage reports
• Manage customer-specific requirements (shipping, labeling, barcodes, etc.)
• Communicate with customers regarding order confirmations, changes, cancellations, and inquiries
• Provide sales support including quotations, pricing, and sample requests
• Maintain internal sales operation manuals and related documentation

Customer Support

• Analyze order trends and vendor-managed inventory usage
• Coordinate with factories to optimize inventory levels and shorten lead times
• Provide pricing, proposals, and communicate credit terms
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints via phone and email

Inventory Control

• Manage and conduct physical inventory counts for assigned customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of sales-related or customer support experience preferred
• Business-level Japanese and English required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: USD 65,000 – 70,000 annually (DOE)
• Bonus: Performance-based bonus paid in previous years
• On-site work environment
