Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for payroll processing and HR system maintenance at the employee level in a multi-state environment. Also responsible for all activities leading up to transmitting the payroll file and tasks related to the reconciliation of payroll entries.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Processes bi-weekly payroll for all employees in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensures compliance with FLSA and other regulations that govern payroll practice.
• Reconciles payroll discrepancies and resolves any issues that may arise promptly.
• Maintains accurate payroll records, including employee time sheets and attendance.
• Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
• Works collaboratively with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data management.
• Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and resolve concerns effectively.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a full-cycle payroll capacity
• MS Excel Skills (V-lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in payroll for a large organization
• Multi-state experience
• Knowledge and understanding of payroll taxes

Educational Requirements

• University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

• 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

Physical Requirements

• Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
