We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development Specialist to join our team who is focused on lead generation and quote follow-ups. This position is responsible for contacting existing customers who have recently requested a sales quote or who have previously purchased from McNichols. Great B2B professional sales opportunity with large base of repeat customers.

Whether you are a recent college graduate or an experienced sales professional, we welcome candidates with enthusiasm to serve our customers. We provide weeks of personalized training to learn our products and our business so that our sales professionals are knowledgeable and well-equipped to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Review recent quote activity or other leads and make outbound calls to convert inquiries to sales orders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers via phone calls and emails
  • Identify and investigate customer requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs
  • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations to prepare competitive customer quotations
  • Negotiate the terms of agreements and close sales effectively
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to maximize sales opportunities
  • Advise on upcoming product developments and upsell promotions
  • Monitor inventory levels and track order progress
  • Analyze Market data and customer insights to identify future buying needs and trends
  • Explore new markets and uncover potential business opportunities
  • Meet and Exceed sales targets

Qualifications

  • An enthusiastic sales professional with industrial/technical product sales, B2B sales, or strong customer service experience.
  • Experience maintaining a large volume of outbound sales calls
  • Strong math skills and the ability to learn technical product applications
  • Computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong team player with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and initiative in a sales environment
  • High level of professionalism with strong attention to detail
