An ambitious space program is building spacecraft that will push beyond Earth orbit and into the frontier of asteroid resource utilization. With rapid hardware development underway, the team is growing its electrical AI&T capabilities to power vehicle assembly, integration, and test operations.
We're now hiring an
EGSE Test Engineer
to own the design, build, and operation of the electrical ground systems essential for spacecraft testing. This is a hands-on, hardware-focused role perfect for engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy building systems end-to-end.
Role Overview
You will take ownership of power, data, simulation, and control infrastructure used across
AI&T and HITL/FlatSat campaigns
. Expect deep involvement in hardware build-out, troubleshooting, procedure development, and cross-functional integration with avionics, software, and test operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Own
EGSE systems across AI&T, FlatSat & HITL environments - Design/build EGSE for
ground power, CAN/Ethernet/RS-XXX data, load simulation
, solar array simulation & RF support - Lead integration, bring-up, troubleshooting & maintenance
- Develop
SOPs for EGSE
use and ensure compatibility with spacecraft systems - Work with software teams to integrate EGSE control interfaces
- Drive make/buy decisions & procurement
- Influence
spacecraft electrical architecture - Build AI&T
harnessing & configurations
for test campaigns - Support powered testing & HITL procedures
Desired Background:
- Proven EGSE design
& operations experience in spacecraft/aerospace programs - Strong hands-on work with
powered testing & HITL/FlatSat
environments - Familiarity with spacecraft power, avionics & networking
- Experience with
Python/Bash/Lua
test scripting - Proficiency with
Altium, SolidWorks, Linux & data bus
tools - BS in Electrical, Aerospace, Software Engineering, or similar
- 4+ years supporting flight/test programs
Bonus:
RF experience, solar array simulation, HITL hardware, Python/C test automation, or ground software development.
