As we expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Operations Manager to lead the next stage of our company's growth.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Operations Manager to oversee all on-site mortgage operations, including loan origination, processing, staff leadership, workflow management, projections, and reporting. This role requires a hands-on leader who can confidently manage the entire mortgage pipeline while maintaining a high-quality borrower experience.

This position is 100% on-site at our First West Mortgage headquarters in Sedalia, Colorado. Remote work is not available for this role.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Management

• Manage daily mortgage operations, including origination, processing, underwriting coordination, and closing workflows.
• Create and refine operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Partner with leadership on operational strategy and growth initiatives.

Loan Production

• Originate mortgage loans as a licensed Colorado Mortgage Loan Originator.
• Guide borrowers through the application, documentation, and approval process.
• Ensure all files meet investor, agency, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, and supervise on-site processing and support staff.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and maintain a professional team culture.
• Promote collaboration and efficient communication across all departments.

Project & Process Management

• Lead system upgrades, new program rollouts, and workflow optimization projects.
• Coordinate with leadership on operational timelines and process changes.

Reporting & Analysis

• Produce monthly and quarterly production reports for leadership.
• Create volume forecasts, staffing plans, and operational projections.
• Monitor pipeline metrics, turn times, and productivity to identify improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mortgage industry experience (origination, processing, underwriting, or operations).
• Active Colorado Mortgage Loan Originator License (required).
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and investor lending guidelines.
• Proven experience managing a mortgage team or running lending operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with mortgage LOS platforms and digital lending tools.
• Ability to work on-site daily in Sedalia, CO.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multi-state mortgage operations (preferred, not required).
• Background in project management or operational system implementation.
• Familiarity with correspondent lending or secondary market processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $105,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Mortgage Processing: 5 years (Preferred)
• Mortgage Business Management : 5 years (Required)
