Responsibilities

  • Manage and strategize on cases from beginning to end (pre-litigation through settlement)
  • Support our trial team by attending court hearings & conducting and defending depositions and discovery as needed
  • Be proactive with client communication regarding cases, particularly regarding their injuries/medical treatment, and updating information in case management software
  • Communicate with medical providers to stay current on client injuries/treatment in addition to defense firms and insurance companies
  • Evaluate potential PI claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients
  • Serve as legal counsel on the clients' behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a support staff team
  • Settle on the clients' behalf when appropriate and negotiate reasonable agreements

Requirements

  • A JD degree from an accredited law school and barred in Massachusetts
  • 3+ years of experience practicing law
  • Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
  • A natural ability to keep things moving in a case and updating clients
  • Client-facing experience with a high degree of emotional intelligence

Bonus

  • Personal injury experience
  • A native or fluent spanish speaker
