What this role is all about:
We are looking for a Data Analyst I in La Crosse, WI.
Location: Hybrid/Remote
Accepting Applicants Residing in WI, MN, and IA, preference given to those local to La Crosse, WI.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, regular business hours
The Data Analyst I supports the organization's business intelligence and analytics initiatives by assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions. Working with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Jet Analytics, this role helps ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. The Data Analyst I enables data-driven decision-making across the business by transforming data into meaningful insights and supporting the company's overall data strategy.
Job Duties:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence (BI) models, dashboards, and reports that communicate key business metrics.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data connections for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Support the creation and optimization of data pipelines and integrations using Jet Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and related tools.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Partner with business users to identify data needs and create solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Document BI models, data sources, workflows, and analytical processes.
- Monitor performance of reports, queries, and data systems; recommend and implement optimizations as needed.
- Support company initiatives focused on improving data governance, standardization, and compliance.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure secure and reliable data management practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with emerging analytics tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Protocol.
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or another relevant field.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience Required:
- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical field (internships or academic projects acceptable).
- Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with DAX and Power Query
- Exposure to data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Jet Analytics preferred but not required.
- Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages is a plus.
