In this vital role, you will help ensure our residents receive exceptional care by coordinating the staffing needs of our nursing department. You'll be at the heart of scheduling, communication, and team support—making a real impact on both staff and resident experiences.

As our Staffing Coordinator, you will play an important administrative and organizational role within the nursing department, including:
Staffing & SchedulingMaintain accurate employee contact lists and manage daily attendance records.
Prepare and coordinate monthly nursing schedules, ensuring proper coverage.
Communicate staffing needs, schedule changes, and variances to the DNS.
Assist employees with time clock issues, leave requests, and other scheduling documentation.
Complete required employee records for hires, reclassifications, and terminations.
Keep department managers' contact information up-to-date.
Prepare reports, maintain files, and assist with department documentation.
Build positive working relationships across departments and help streamline administrative processes.
Ensure new hires are in the time clock and have schedules prior to orientation.
Provide orientation schedules and coordinate with unit managers to support new staff.
Assist with record-keeping for in-service education and training programs.
Attend training sessions to stay current on procedures and best practices.
Assist with STNA interviews when requested.
Verify licenses and certifications for all new hires and maintain ongoing tracking for nursing department staff.
Help support a warm, professional, and teamwork-driven atmosphere.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information.
Report unsafe conditions and follow all safety protocols.
Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure supplies are stocked.
Assist in emergency response efforts if needed.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
An active STNA license is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and understand technical procedures.
Basic math skills including fractions, ratios, percentages.
A positive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
Patience, tact, and professionalism when interacting with staff, residents, families, and visitors.
Flexibility, integrity, and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move intermittently throughout the workday.
Ability to meet general health requirements and adhere to facility policies.
You'll work closely with nursing staff, department directors, and residents in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent communication, adaptability, and professionalism. This role may occasionally require working beyond normal hours, including weekends or holidays, especially during emergency situations.
