Weatherization Installer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Weatherization Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing weatherization measures in single-family homes and multi-family communities to enhance energy efficiency, improve indoor air quality, and reduce overall energy costs. You will install insulation, seal air leaks, install ventilation systems, and perform other energy-saving upgrades according to program guidelines and client needs. This role requires a mix of technical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets both safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install various weatherization materials, including insulation (attic, wall, and floor), weather stripping, caulking, and window/door sealants to reduce energy loss.

• Perform air sealing using caulking, foam, and other sealant techniques to improve building envelope tightness.

• Set up and install ventilation systems to ensure proper airflow and moisture control in areas such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces.

• Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and materials necessary for weatherization projects, ensuring they are in good working order.

• Follow program guidelines and industry standards to perform weatherization work that complies with health and safety regulations.

• Work closely with team members, program coordinators, and clients to understand project scope, timelines, and specific requirements.

• Provide excellent customer service, answering clients' questions and explaining completed work and expected benefits of weatherization improvements.

• Document all work completed and submit accurate records, including work orders and material usage reports.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in weatherization or building science preferred.

• Previous experience in weatherization, construction, or HVAC installation is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of basic construction techniques, energy efficiency measures, and building codes.

• Ability to operate standard hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in weatherization and insulation installation.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and physically demanding environments, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting materials.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
