About the Role
At Thrivera (A well-being partner of Western Home Communities), we believe in helping every resident live a life of purpose, connection, and joy. The Thrivera Program Coordinator plays a vital role in bringing that mission to life by planning and leading engaging, person-centered programs that enhance residents' physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social well-being.
Working within both long-term care and assisted living settings, this individual designs and facilitates a rotating menu of wellness-based experiences that change quarterly and align with the five dimensions of wellness. Collaborating with Household Coordinators and Administrators, the Coordinator tailors activity packages for each community and leads set-planned on-site programs approximately twice per week.

What You'll Do:
- Design and deliver engaging activities that align with residents' interests, abilities, and goals.
- Develop and maintain a quarterly rotating menu of programs centered on the five dimensions of wellness.
- Collaborate with Household Coordinators and Administrators to plan and implement customized activity packages.
- Facilitate scheduled activities in long-term care and assisted living settings several times per week.
- Encourage resident participation and adapt programming for individuals with varying physical or cognitive abilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Manage supplies, calendars, and budgets to support ongoing programming.
- Partner with other departments to promote community-wide engagement and a vibrant, inclusive culture.
What You'll Bring:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Human Services, Gerontology, or related field preferred.
- Certification: Certified Activity Director (NCCAP or NAAP) preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience leading activities or wellness programming in a long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare environment.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Creativity and enthusiasm for resident-centered engagement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and connect with individuals of all ability levels
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, EHR systems)
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
