pediatric dental assistant

Busy pediatric dental practice in Clackamas is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Certified Dental Assistant to join our fun and caring team We specialize in providing gentle, high-quality dental care to children in a welcoming, kid-friendly environment.

Position: Full-Time Pediatric Dental Assistant
Location: Clackamas, OR
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate ($24–$32/hr DOE), plus benefits (medical & vision insurance, PTO & sick, 401k w/ match, monthly bonus potential, continuing education, and AFLAC.)

***Required Qualifications***

-Current Oregon EFDA or EFPDA certification
-Oregon X-ray/Radiologic Proficiency certification
-Current CPR/BLS certification
-Experience in pediatric dentistry strongly preferred, but other specialties please apply
-Comfortable working with children of all ages, including those with special needs or anxiety
-Positive attitude, reliable, team player, and excellent communication skills

***Responsibilities Include***

-Chairside assisting during pediatric procedures
-Taking digital X-rays
-Performing expanded functions (as permitted by your certification, e.g., sealants, coronal polishing)
-Sterilization and infection control
-Patient education and helping kids feel comfortable
-Charting, room setup/breakdown, and general support for the dentist and hygienists
-Willingness to cross-train front desk
