Summary
:

The Digital Engagement Manager drives Epstein Becker Green's digital marketing strategy and execution. This role partners with practice leaders and key stakeholders across the firm's business professional departments to increase visibility, strengthen engagement with target audiences, and support EBG's strategic growth priorities.

The Digital Engagement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a unified, data-driven, multi-channel digital marketing strategy that delivers impactful campaigns and a seamless digital experience. This includes creating content campaigns and experiences that resonate with EBG clients, business development targets, and employee recruitment audiences while maximizing return on investment.

This position provides ongoing market intelligence, brand guidance, and digital and content marketing best practices, ensuring internal stakeholders are equipped with the insights and tools needed to engage target audiences effectively and align with EBG's broader digital presence.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Marketing Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy across website, social media, email, and other channels to raise awareness of the firm's strategic objectives and differentiate EBG's value proposition
  • Oversee all digital platforms to ensure content remains current, accurate, and aligned with strategic priorities and audience needs
  • Lead implementation of EBG's digital footprint evolution in collaboration with Marketing Communications, Operations, and external digital marketing contributors
  • Manage messaging, timing, and relevance of initiatives across practices, sectors, geographies, and business functions to ensure strategic consistency and optimal timing
  • Use market trends, competitor analysis, and campaign performance to provide strategic recommendations that position the firm competitively and support revenue growth
  • Partner with key stakeholders to translate client development and profile-raising goals into multi-channel campaigns and digital content experiences
  • Build and manage tailored strategies for each social platform to increase visibility and strengthen positioning of the firm and its attorneys; monitor results and adjust tactics accordingly

Metrics, Reporting & Optimization

  • Establish KPIs and reporting processes with key stakeholders to evaluate strategy, measure digital marketing success, and guide ongoing improvements
  • Partner with Marketing colleagues to monitor digital engagement, SEO/GEO metrics, and conversion data, making adjustments to improve performance
  • Explore dashboard and reporting framework options for guiding future strategy
  • Oversee user experience and conversion optimization efforts across website, social media, and email in partnership with Marketing Communications, Operations, and external contributors

Brand Management & Visual Identity

  • Provide strategic oversight of brand presence across digital and print platforms to maintain a cohesive and professional identity
  • Work with Marketing Communications, Operations, and external contributors to deliver strong design execution, effective use of templates, and consistency across marketing channels
  • Serve as an advisor to attorneys and internal teams on applying brand standards and maintaining a polished digital presence

Content & Campaign Execution

  • Act as campaign lead, aligning marketing tactics with business and brand objectives
  • Partner with content development and business development colleagues to design and execute integrated campaigns that include articles, digital thought leadership, videos, podcasts, and social content
  • Develop holistic content strategies that emphasize storytelling, expand reach, and maximize engagement across channels
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose high-performing content and refresh existing assets to align with current priorities

Team Management & Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor Marketing colleagues focused on implementing EBG's digital marketing strategy
  • Manage outside vendors and consultants supporting digital initiatives; provide regular progress updates to Marketing department leadership
  • Keep the broader Marketing department updated on industry best practices, tools, and emerging trends in digital marketing; liaise with attorneys on the same
  • Stay current on new technologies and innovations; remain involved with industry networks and resources; make actionable recommendations to improve the firm's marketing capabilities
  • Serve as a resource to colleagues and attorneys, presenting best practices in digital engagement across the firm

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Advanced degree (MA, MBA) preferred

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in integrated marketing, brand management, or professional services marketing—ideally within a global B2B or legal/consulting environment
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams
  • Prior experience and deep understanding of digital marketing engagement strategy within the legal industry
  • Proven track record managing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable business impact, including brand, digital, content, and recruitment marketing
  • Experience managing global brand initiatives and governance in a matrixed organization
  • Experience working with creative agencies, designers, and marketing teams to execute high-quality brand assets and campaigns

Skills & Competencies:

  • Sophisticated knowledge of web and interactive technologies
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing, digital branding, and content strategy to drive brand impact
  • Experience applying SEO and branding principles to all types of content
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive high-impact digital marketing strategies, manage campaigns, and develop creative and innovative ideas based on engagement trends and target audience data
  • Skilled at building and nurturing relationships with digital marketing sector contacts and internal stakeholders/senior executives
  • Proactive and creative approach to crafting and running innovative digital marketing campaigns that engage and resonate with target audiences
  • Excellent writing skills with ability to create clear and compelling marketing content that captures attention and conveys key messages effectively

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

The expected salary range for this position ranges from $151,000-$178,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered. In addition to the base salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus
