The Civil Engineer assists in the coordination and completion of various types of permits for private use and occupancy of the public right-of-way.

Eligible candidates who successfully complete the selection process will be placed on the highest-level eligible list for which they qualify

Essential Functio**

nsPermit Coordination and Revi

  • ewReview permits for work in and occupancy of the public right-of-way for utilities, developers, and the general publi
  • c.Review permits for outdoor dining facilities and coordinate with the Licensing Division for outdoor dining license
  • s.Collaborate with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator to ensure permit compliance with accessibility rules and guideline
  • s.Assist other Department of Public Works (DPW) sections to coordinate and compile commentary for right-of-way permit review
  • s.Assist senior engineers with plan reviews for small cell installations, Board of Zoning Appeals reviews, and special privilege application
