Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development, with a genuine love for working with young children. This role offers an opportunity to foster a nurturing learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth for preschool-aged students. Experience with special education, literacy education, and Montessori methods is highly valued. The Pre-K Teacher will play a vital role in preparing children for future academic success through engaging lessons and individualized support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with educational standards and promote early childhood development
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using proven behavior management techniques
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly
- Incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and other foundational subjects into daily lessons
- Utilize classroom management strategies to maintain an organized and safe learning space
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address individual needs
- Integrate special education strategies and early intervention techniques when necessary
- Prepare students for standardized testing and support tutoring or additional learning activities as needed
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student development milestones
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management strategies
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy education
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and Montessori methods is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to child welfare and educational excellence
- Certification or degree in early childhood education or a related field is highly desirable
- Prior experience with private schools or daycare centers is advantageous
