Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in controlling financial operations and leading corporate finance initiatives. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing financial planning, reporting, risk management, and compliance. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both for-profit and non-profit accounting principles, regulatory standards such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and COSO frameworks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to drive fiscal health and sustainable growth across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including revenue management, cost control, expense management, and treasury management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting standards such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, and COSO guidelines.
- Manage risk analysis processes and implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard assets and ensure operational stability.
- Lead financial reporting efforts by preparing accurate financial statements and interpreting complex financial data for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Supervise internal controls related to SOX compliance and oversee audit processes for both governmental and non-profit accounting environments.
- Drive business development initiatives through market analysis, revenue cycle management, mergers & acquisitions support, and strategic planning.
- Oversee payroll management systems ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Lead treasury functions including cash flow management, investment strategies, and banking relationships.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational growth initiatives, including supply chain optimization and cost management strategies.
- Supervise finance teams ensuring effective training in technical accounting standards such as IFRS, GAAP, ASC 606; promote continuous improvement in financial software utilization.
Skills
- Extensive experience in corporate finance including revenue cycle management, profit & loss analysis, cost control, and expense management.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory standards such as GAAP, IFRS (including IAS), ASC 606; familiarity with COSO frameworks is essential.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, risk analysis, and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising finance teams; capable of managing cross-functional departments like payroll and supply chain.
- Proficiency in financial software systems; excellent analytical skills for business analysis and financial report interpretation.
- Exceptional negotiation skills combined with business development acumen to identify growth opportunities.
- Ability to manage complex projects involving mergers & acquisitions or other corporate restructuring activities.
- Sound understanding of governmental accounting practices where applicable; expertise in tax accounting is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
