Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor 20/hr

The Hampton Inn & Suites in Hudson is currently seeking an individual to join our housekeeping team as a head housekeeper Clean rooms and friendly service are what guests expect from Hampton Inn, so we are looking for applicants who have a positive attitude, an eye for detail, can work independently, and be a team player. The ideal candidate will be comfortable being on their feet and walking for the entire shift. This is a part-time position, Saturdays and Sundays only. More shifts may be available in other departments.

*One year of hotel experience is required.*

A flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays is needed.

Candidates must have reliable transportation and be over the age of 21.

Compensation is $20 per hour (DOQ)

Typical Work Hours:

Weekdays: 7:30AM - 4PM (until rooms are finished)

Saturdays: 8:30AM - 5PM (until rooms are finished)

Sundays: 9:30AM - 7PM (until rooms are finished)

JOB SUMMARY

Directs hotel housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of property by performing the following duties personally or through delegating to departmental staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Inspects guestrooms daily*, may assist in cleaning guestrooms, or doing laundry as needed. *Inspecting guestrooms is the main duty of the head housekeeper.
• Removes soiled linens from rooms in order to keep laundry on schedule.
• Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping and laundry staff including safety, usage of chemicals, cleaning, storage etc.
• Assigns rooms to housekeepers in a way that ensures equitable division of housekeeping duties.
• Ensures proper storage and security of housekeeping room keys.
• Communicates regularly with Front Desk on status of room inventory and updates front desk system.
• Ensures guest satisfaction through quick attention to questions, concerns or problems.
• Inspects and evaluates physical condition of property. Examines carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage, or wear. Plans for carpet shampooing, turning of mattresses and spring/fall extensive cleaning.
• Submits to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
• Inventories supplies and equipment per purchasing guidelines and budget.
• Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
• Inventories, secures and manages guest lost and found.
• Deep cleaning scheduling and inspection.
