Duties

• Assist with menu planning to meet dietary needs and preferences, ensuring variety and nutritional balance
• Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to established recipes and safety standards
• Handle food with care, maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation protocols at all times
• Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with attention to presentation and quality
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including utensils, equipment, and workstations
• Follow food safety guidelines diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Serve meals efficiently to residents or customers, providing friendly and attentive service throughout each shift

Skills

• Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
• Experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is a plus, demonstrating high standards of food presentation
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices within the food industry
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and interacting with customers or residents
