Responsibilities:
- Enter all employees (including employees attending Nursing Assistant Class) information utilizing facility systems (including availability preferences).
- Arranges for new employees to be scheduled for orientation in job titles and provides schedule.
- Provides schedule of nursing employees working hours, scheduled time off, holiday time, personal time and vacation time, etc. in accordance with facility staffing plan.
- Provides daily schedule for use and staffing coordinator and nursing supervisory staff (off shift) update and changes as they occur, including unscheduled absences.
- Reports on off-shift supervisor's status of staffing.
- Prepares daily reports (flow sheets) reflecting staffing information.
- Logs unscheduled absences, prepares report for personnel (payroll).
- Make calls when preparing master schedule and as needed with changes to Per Diem staff, Agencies contracted with, staff who have denoted a preference, staff signing up for scheduled overtime, etc. ensure schedule reflects facility staffing plan.
- Updates individual employee records regarding unscheduled absences, time used, changes made for requests, overtime, etc.
- Keeps all requests for time, checks schedule for compliance with staffing plan; keeps all requests for position changes; both for approval by staffing coordinator supervisor.
- Reports to personnel regarding number and type of positions needing to be filled.
- Completes status change forms for employees with changes; submits for staffing coordinator supervisor's signature, forwards to personnel.
Performs other tasks assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in admissions or administration, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds with empathy and compassion.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Compensation:
- Rate will be commensurate with experience.
