Position Description:
- Seeking an experienced Salesforce Systems Administrator to support and enhance enterprise Salesforce environments within a public sector organization. This role plays a key part in aligning Salesforce capabilities with business objectives by analyzing workflows, identifying improvement opportunities, and delivering scalable, secure system solutions.
- The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on administration experience, the ability to configure Salesforce Orgs from the ground up, and expertise across integrations, data management, CI/CD, and production support. This role collaborates closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and Agile delivery teams to automate processes, improve system performance, and ensure platform reliability. Availability for 24/7 on-call support is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, manage, and maintain Salesforce Orgs across production and non-production environments.
- Configure new Salesforce Orgs from scratch, including security models, profiles, roles, and access controls.
- Analyze business requirements, workflows, and system constraints to design effective Salesforce solutions.
- Implement and maintain security policies and best practices to protect data and ensure compliance.
- Perform data migrations, data quality management, and ongoing data governance activities.
- Integrate Salesforce with third-party applications and external systems using APIs and authentication protocols.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and change management processes using tools such as Flosum.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, software, and integration issues; recommend appropriate technology solutions.
- Participate in Agile (Scrum) ceremonies and support sprint-based delivery activities.
- Provide production support, including participation in 24/7 on-call rotations.
Required Skills/Education:
- 7+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator supporting enterprise Salesforce Orgs and environments.
- 7+ years of experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including change control, version management, and CI/CD practices.
- 7+ years of experience performing data migrations, data quality management, system integrations, and working with AppExchange products.
- 7+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving complex system and application issues in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce security models, access controls, and compliance best practices.
- Experience supporting Agile development teams and production environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience implementing authentication protocols such as OAuth and integrating third-party applications.
- Familiarity with web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Aura Components, Lightning Web Components).
- Experience using Salesforce integration tools such as MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory, or Jitterbit.
- Experience using Salesforce no-code/low-code tools including Flows, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules.
- Familiarity with tools such as DocuSign and Azure-based data integration platforms.
