Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Home Remodeling Assistant to support our construction and renovation projects. This role involves assisting with various aspects of home improvement, working closely with experienced professionals to ensure high-quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely on-site. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in residential remodeling, including carpentry, installation, and finishing work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with demolition, framing, drywall installation, and finishing tasks
• Support with plumbing, electrical work, and fixture installation under supervision
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
• Prepare surfaces through caulking, plastering, or painting as needed
• Aid in concrete forming, masonry, tile laying, and flooring installation projects
• Support roofing, stucco application, and heavy equipment operation when required
• Assist with restoration work including glass installation and cabinetry
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site
• Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

• Basic knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes is a plus
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics for various trades such as carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation preferred
• Knowledge of construction site safety standards and procedures
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Prior experience in remodeling or general construction is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
