The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus. This is not a remote work position.
This position is part of the Records and Registration team within the Registrar's Office. Its primary duties are:
- Processing requests for program adjustments, advisor changes, credit hour overloads, address and name changes
- Managing state residency and communicating to students
- Submitting enrollment reports to the National Student Clearinghouse, and resolving errors
- Assisting the Records and Registration team with processing and imaging forms, records management, monitoring the email inbox, overseeing outgoing transcripts, and other tasks as needed
- Being part of the registrar office's phone queue and responding to general inquiries via phone calls and walk-ins
- Performing other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will be someone who pays particularly close attention to detail; can manage their own processes, update documentation, and find ways to ways to improve processes; takes the initiative in learning more about Registrar Office functions and how their responsibilities fit within the mission of the office and WCU; enjoys working as part of a team and being a behind-the-scenes support person; communicates clearly and kindly both orally and in writing; and can advocate for students and other stakeholders to make processes increasingly service-focused.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position

- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Prior experience managing records
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
