Infrastructure Cabling Onsite Project Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Cabling Onsite Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of low-voltage cabling projects, including data, voice, fiber, and related infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing project timelines, ensuring quality installation, coordinating field technicians and contractors, maintaining safety standards, and serving as the primary onsite contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage end-to-end cabling installation projects (copper and fiber).
• Conduct onsite assessments, surveys, and pre-construction planning.
• Develop project schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocations.
• Monitor progress and ensure all deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Coordinate daily project activities with technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Provide clear communication and status updates to clients and internal teams.
• Review and approve project documentation, drawings, change orders, and closeout packages.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI), local codes, and company policies.
• Resolve onsite issues and escalate risks or delays as needed.
• Manage project budgets and track material usage and labor hours.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in cabling, network infrastructure, or related project management roles.
• Hands-on knowledge of copper, fiber, and low-voltage cabling standards and installation practices.
• Proven ability to manage onsite teams and multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and cable routing diagrams.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
• 100% Clean Background check (non-negotiable)

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI certification (TECH, INST, or RCDD).
• Experience in K-12 and Education environments.
• PMP or equivalent project management credential.
• Experience coordinating with general contractors, and construction teams.
• Familiarity with site safety protocols and OSHA standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
