Caregiver/Live-In

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide high-quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in need of assistance, including those with memory care challenges and varying levels of physical support.

Duties

• Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Monitor and document changes in clients' health or behavior, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist clients with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Facilitate communication between clients, family members, and healthcare providers.

Skills

• Proficient in creating and following care plans that cater to individual needs.
• Experience in memory care techniques for clients with cognitive impairments.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients (hoyer lifts on site as needed).
• Knowledge of assisted living environments and home health practices.
• Familiarity with group home settings and the unique needs of residents.
• Background in social work or related fields is a plus.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality is maintained.
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
