Position Summary

Primary Care of Kansas is seeking a skilled and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with at least one year of primary care experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, clinically competent, and comfortable working in a fast-paced primary care environment, including performing venipuncture and in-office procedures within scope of practice.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Kansas LPN license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting
• Proficient in phlebotomy / venipuncture
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team-based environment
• EMR experience preferred (AdvancedMD)

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs and medical history
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection, including proper labeling and processing
• Administer injections and medications as ordered by providers (within scope)
• Assist providers with in-office procedures
• Perform nurse visits including:
• Blood pressure checks
• EKG
• Simple wound care and dressing changes
• Administration of depot or allergy injections (as prescribed)
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical supplies
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR
• Follow clinic protocols, infection control standards, and safety guidelines
• Provide patient education and instructions as directed by providers
• Coordinate care with providers and front desk staff to ensure smooth clinic flow

Preferred Skills

• Experience with preventive care and chronic disease management
• Familiarity with lab handling, spinning, packaging, and send-outs
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety
