Charge Nurse

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans based on clinical guidelines.
• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, managing acute pain, and performing catheter care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, including dementia care strategies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures within the facility.
• Stay informed about workers' compensation law and durable medical equipment (DME) requirements.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
• Proficient in acute pain management techniques.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Epic.
• Familiarity with assisted living environments and acute care settings.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care, particularly for individuals with dementia.
