Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant provides customer service to associates, applicants and other visitors regarding all aspects of Human Resources. Answers multi-line phone, directs and triages incoming calls and assists callers as appropriate. Data entry support with accurate attention to detail.

The HR Assistant provides customer service to associates, applicants and other visitors regarding all aspects of Human Resources. Answers multi-line phone, directs and triages incoming calls and assists callers as appropriate. Coordinates the new employee on-boarding and credentialing process for travel agency staffing.

Core Duties and responsibilities

  • Assists in day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department front desk.
  • Coordinates all aspects of new employee onboarding process.
  • Ensures all pre-employment paperwork, applicant background/drug screenings, and any employee health screenings are completed prior to start date.
  • Acts as a resource to associates/applicants and others contacting the Human Resources Department, in person or via telephone.
  • Maintains employee personnel files with strict confidentiality.
  • Collects, organizes and maintains employment-related documents for HRIS data entry and reporting.
  • Supports HR platforms by providing functional and technical system support including, user system administration, process implementation, troubleshooting, user acceptance and reporting.
  • Receives, assists and/or directs applicants, employees, guests and visitors in a caring and responsible manner.
  • Handles basic queries from associates and visitors. Provides information or directs to others in the department for resolution.
  • Provides customer service to all incoming associates, applicants and other visitors.
  • Answers telephones, redirects telephones calls, and takes messages.
  • Supports the HR function of organizational learning and development; while maintaining IT security measures by following security policies when engaging in LMS education.
  • Troubleshoots all issues related to the Human Resources Information Systems. Resets passwords as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree of equivalent work experience preferred
  • Human Resources experience preferred
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of MS Office application
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive employee records and information.

Salary Range: $18.39 hourly - $26.03 hourly
