Position Summary
The Branch Field Operations Manager is the primary field and customer-facing leader for CUI's Philadelphia operation. This position oversees jobsite quality, installer supervision, installer recruiting, customer communication, and overall field operations — while supporting light operational duties during the early launch phase.
As the branch grows, responsibilities will shift upward.
You will play a direct role in building the branch team, including:
- Hiring a Warehouse Associate to take over material handling responsibilities
- Hiring a Project Supervisor to support daily scheduling, document control, and customer-facing tasks
- Transitioning yourself into a higher-level operational leadership role as the market matures
This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who is polished, organized, decisive, and eager to grow into broader operations oversight.
Key Responsibilities Project Management & Field Leadership
- Lead all flooring installation activity across the Philadelphia market.
- Serve as the polished, professional onsite representative for CUI with clients and property managers.
- Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs, quality control checks, and scope validations.
- Resolve installation issues, callbacks, and project concerns quickly and professionally.
- Work closely with installers, sales reps, and internal ops teams to ensure smooth, efficient project execution.
- Attend construction meetings and communicate schedule updates and field conditions.
- Enforce quality, safety, and cleanliness expectations across all jobsites.
- Oversee job sequencing, readiness, and proper installation standards.
Installer Recruitment & Liaison Responsibilities
- Recruit experienced installation crews to support branch growth.
- Onboard new installers and assess their skill level, workmanship, and professionalism.
- Act as the primary liaison between CUI and installer crews.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with subcontractors.
- Coordinate installer scheduling, sequencing, and job readiness.
- Provide guidance and leadership to ensure consistent quality.
Customer & Internal Communication
- Deliver timely, professional communication to clients.
- Support Sales Representatives with field-level technical insight and problem-solving.
- Provide regular updates to the Regional Director of Operations on job progress, quality concerns, installer performance, and branch needs.
- Uphold CUI's high standards of customer service on every project.
Light Operational Duties (Start up Phase Only)
- Assist with picking, staging, and loading materials when needed.
- Complete basic inventory checks and reconcile leftover materials.
