Branch Field Operations Manager – Philadelphia Market

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Reports To: Regional Director of Operations

Company Overview

Carpets Unlimited Inc. (CUI) is one of the fastest-growing commercial flooring contractors in the multi-family sector. With strong expansion underway across the East Coast, we are hiring a polished, customer-facing leader to launch and oversee our Philadelphia market. Since 1981, CUI has built a reputation for elite execution, reliability, and exceptional service.

This role offers a unique opportunity to join the company at a pivotal moment — with significant long-term growth potential.

Position Summary

The Branch Field Operations Manager is the primary field and customer-facing leader for CUI's Philadelphia operation. This position oversees jobsite quality, installer supervision, installer recruiting, customer communication, and overall field operations — while supporting light operational duties during the early launch phase.

As the branch grows, responsibilities will shift upward.
You will play a direct role in building the branch team, including:

  • Hiring a Warehouse Associate to take over material handling responsibilities
  • Hiring a Project Supervisor to support daily scheduling, document control, and customer-facing tasks
  • Transitioning yourself into a higher-level operational leadership role as the market matures

This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who is polished, organized, decisive, and eager to grow into broader operations oversight.

Key Responsibilities Project Management & Field Leadership

  • Lead all flooring installation activity across the Philadelphia market.
  • Serve as the polished, professional onsite representative for CUI with clients and property managers.
  • Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs, quality control checks, and scope validations.
  • Resolve installation issues, callbacks, and project concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Work closely with installers, sales reps, and internal ops teams to ensure smooth, efficient project execution.
  • Attend construction meetings and communicate schedule updates and field conditions.
  • Enforce quality, safety, and cleanliness expectations across all jobsites.
  • Oversee job sequencing, readiness, and proper installation standards.

Installer Recruitment & Liaison Responsibilities

  • Recruit experienced installation crews to support branch growth.
  • Onboard new installers and assess their skill level, workmanship, and professionalism.
  • Act as the primary liaison between CUI and installer crews.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with subcontractors.
  • Coordinate installer scheduling, sequencing, and job readiness.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to ensure consistent quality.

Customer & Internal Communication

  • Deliver timely, professional communication to clients.
  • Support Sales Representatives with field-level technical insight and problem-solving.
  • Provide regular updates to the Regional Director of Operations on job progress, quality concerns, installer performance, and branch needs.
  • Uphold CUI's high standards of customer service on every project.

Light Operational Duties (Start up Phase Only)

  • Assist with picking, staging, and loading materials when needed.
  • Complete basic inventory checks and reconcile leftover materials.
  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
