This role is for a leader who understands that great hospitality is built on great systems, and that culture thrives when performance is clear, measured, and improving.
If you are equally comfortable on the floor with guests and in the numbers owning the P&L, managing labor and costs, and building high-performing teams this role is for you.
The OpportunityAs General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the business financially, operationally, and culturally. You will lead day-to-day operations while driving measurable improvements in profitability, efficiency, and guest experience.
This role reports directly to Ownership and works closely with the Franklins to translate vision into execution.
What Success Looks Like
- Consistent achievement of labor, COGS, and margin targets
- Clear accountability across FOH, BOH, bar, and management teams
- A visible, trusted leader on the floor during service
- Strong guest retention, regular engagement, and brand advocacy
- High staff retention, development, and internal promotion
- Clean, organized operations with disciplined systems and SOPs
- Weekly reporting that tells a clear story of performance and opportunity
Core ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Performance Leadership
- Full ownership of the P&L, including revenue, labor, and COGS
- Set, track, and achieve weekly and monthly performance targets
- Daily and weekly analysis using Toast & XtraChef (sales mix, labor %, comps/voids, food cost)
- Labor forecasting, scheduling oversight, and payroll accuracy
- Invoice review, approval, and vendor accountability
- Translate data into action plans for managers and staff
Operations & Facilities
- Lead daily floor and bar operations with hands-on presence
- Oversee kitchen operations, menu development, costing, and execution
- Ensure strong systems for scheduling (Sling), reservations (Resy), and communications
- Own facility maintenance, vendor relationships, and repair coordination
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards at all times
Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop high-performing FOH and BOH teams
- Build a strong management bench through coaching and accountability
- Conduct regular performance reviews and clear goal-setting
- Create a culture of ownership, professionalism, and pride
- Address performance issues directly, respectfully, and promptly
Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Maintain a daily, visible presence on the floor
- Build relationships with regulars and first-time guests alike
- Resolve guest issues with grace, speed, and professionalism
- Ensure hospitality standards are taught, reinforced, and upheld
Marketing, Events & Brand Alignment
- Collaborate with Ownership on marketing, PR, and promotional initiatives
- Ensure brand consistency across guest touchpoints
- Partner with the Event Coordinator to execute private and special events
- Support growth initiatives without compromising service quality
Ownership Communication & Strategy
- Serve as the primary bridge between Ownership and the team
- Deliver clear weekly reporting on financials, staffing, and operations
- Translate strategic priorities into systems, SOPs, and execution
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Proven GM or senior leadership experience in high-volume, quality-driven restaurants
- Strong financial acumen with deep experience in P&L, labor, and COGS
- Track record of hitting performance targets and improving margins
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and coaching skills
- High-level hospitality instincts and guest-facing confidence
- Proficiency with Toast, XtraChef, Sling, Resy, and Google Workspace
- Organized, decisive, and calm under pressure
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and special events
Compensation
$90,000 - $105,000 With advancement toward the top of the range based on hitting agreed-upon team, guest, and financial goals.
15 days of paid time off annually (accrued), with additional PTO earned through tenure.
