Weekend Daylight RN Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Supervisor to join our healthcare team. As an RN Supevisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring that high standards of care are maintained. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing exceptional care to patients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and other complex needs.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Facilitate communication among medical staff, patients, and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
• Provide training and support to nursing staff on best practices in patient care.
• Assist in managing the unit's operations, including staffing schedules and resource allocation.

Experience

• Previous experience in a nursing role is required; experience as a Supervisor or in a leadership position is preferred.
• Strong background in patient care, including experience in ICU or senior care settings.
• Familiarity with dementia care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and ophthalmology procedures is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A valid nursing license is required for this position.
