What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to join our vibrant Culinary Team. The Kitchen Steward will play an integral role in maintaining cleanliness and organizing our kitchen and cafeteria whilst supporting our culinary team. The Kitchen Steward will additionally be responsible for reporting any issues or shortages to management plus assisting with opening and closing shift tasks as needed.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

• Check and put away daily orders, ensuring the general cleaning of kitchen and utensils
• Ensure proper organization of kitchen cleaning products, along with non-food dry products (paper plates, forks, cups, napkins)
• Put away food and non-food orders
• Assist in setting up employee cafeteria
• Ensure floors and kitchen are kept clean at all times
• Notify chef of any required kitchen maintenance
• Requisition via chef any equipment we may need (mops, brooms, chemicals, etc...)
• Polish and count plates for daily service (breakfast, lunch, dinner, restaurant banquets)
• Assist in the organization of pots and pans
• Support dishwashing operation.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull items with weight from 25-50 lbs.
• Other duties may be assigned as business need demands.

What are we looking for?

• Three (3) years' experience working as a Kitchen steward/dishwasher required.
• Prior experience working with industrial chemicals required.
• Must be able to lift, carry supplies and heavy equipments, throughout entire shift.
• Knowledge of cleaning products a plus.
• Candidate must speak, read, write, and understand the English language
• Must be able to work well under pressure, remain calm and be able to handle working in noisy and fast pace environment
• Should be able to handle large volume and variety of requests while maintaining attention to detail, plus good judgement in making decisions
• Must be able to work flexible schedule including long hours, late evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays

Hourly rate of CI$6 per hour plus gratuities.
