CDL Class A Driver – Local/Regional/OTR Opportunities

Pay: Up to $75,000–$80,000 annually (performance-based)

Hourly options: $24.50–$27.00/HR depending on Client & Experience

Schedule Options:

• 2-2-3 schedule (3pm–3am) - Time & A Half on Saturdays, Double time on Sundays
• Monday–Friday (5:30am–2:00pm)
• OTR with flexible, freight-dependent schedule

Positions may include local, regional, or OTR driving depending on client and route availability.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles including flatbed, semi, reefer, open-top, or other trailers
• Perform local pickups/deliveries, regional hauls, and/or multi-state OTR routes
• Load/unload materials using forklift, pallet jack, conveyor, or pay-loader
• Load product into trailers and transport between plants (on select shifts)
• Move trucks and trailers within the yard as directed
• Maximize trailer space and ensure proper load distribution
• Maintain accurate load sheets, shipping documents, material counts, and DOT logs (Elogs)
• Conduct pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Report vehicle issues or maintenance needs
• Maintain communication with dispatch, customers, and plant personnel
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations and procedures
• Keep vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries
• Work safely in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Clean driving record; ability to pass a background check
• DOT/FedMed medical card (must be maintained)
• 1+ year of recent CDL driving experience preferred
• Experience with loaders, pay-loaders, conveyors, forklifts, or yard equipment
• Familiarity with flatbed, semi, reefer, open, or specialized trailers
• Comfortable using technology for Elogs and communication
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs as required
• Strong attention to safety, reliability, punctuality
• Ability to work independently and manage time on the road
• Basic math, measuring, and documentation skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours depending on assignment

Compensation Structure

Depending on the specific driving assignment and client setup:

• Hourly pay options: $24.50–$27.00/hr
• OTR percentage pay: 25% or higher of load revenue
• Earnings vary based on freight volume, miles, and trailer type
• Weekly paychecks provided through Express
