About the Role

Join our IT Infrastructure team as a Senior Systems Engineer supporting a mission-critical on-prem environment. You'll manage VMware vSphere, Windows Server/Active Directory, and Dell PowerEdge hardware while ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This hands-on role also contributes to upgrades, migrations, and daily operations across a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage VMware vSphere clusters, ESXi hosts, and virtual machines
• Support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS/DHCP, and IIS
• Oversee Veeam Backup & Replication jobs, backup integrity, and restore testing
• Maintain Dell PowerEdge servers, firmware, diagnostics, and hardware replacements
• Participate in infrastructure migrations, patching cycles, expansions, and new deployments
• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for escalated server and performance issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, stable infrastructure operations

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of enterprise server administration experience
• Strong hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere (8.0 or newer)
• Proficient in Windows Server & Active Directory management
• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
• Working knowledge of Dell PowerEdge hardware and storage fundamentals
• Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Certifications: VCP-DCV, Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Dell Associate
• Experience with PowerShell/Python scripting
• Exposure to AD/O365 migrations
• Understanding of ITIL change/incident management practices
