Overview

Responsible for the creative development of floor/fixture plans to drive new store growth. The Designer II is responsible to develop conceptual designs for presentation to executives as well as store-specific detailed floor/fixture plans ready to deliver to Architects. 

Position reports into the Support Office in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid work schedule. 

Overview of Responsibilities
  • Develop floor/fixture plans for new stores using Revit
  • Develop Lease Exhibits using Revit, coordinating with assigned project architect, APM, and RE/Legal
  • Produce 3D renderings, as needed, for presentation purposes, using Revit
  • Assist in the creation of scaled building footprint for feasibility plan, which may include verifying truck routing and confirmation of existing conditions based on survey materials from project architect
  • Review site-specific décor packages against prototypical standards and site-specific conditions, coordinate with relevant teams
  • Produce Ecommerce Customer App Plans and Evacuation Plans for new stores
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, cooler box manufacturers, Format and assigned APM
  • Facilitate internal alignment and development of Design Standard Guidelines to communicate to relevant stakeholders
  • Train new program architects on fixture planning process and updates to requirements
  • Review all fixture plans for conformance with prototypical and process specific standards
  • Review Lease Exhibits, as needed, to assist the assigned APM
  • Assist with prototype management, including coordination meetings and programmatic communication of supporting files, which may include families and cut sheets
  • Assist with maintaining file archives, which includes document filing in OneDrive/Smartsheet and data logging in Smartsheet
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training/experience
  • Minimum of 5+years of experience in retail design or merchandising.
  • AutoCAD and Revit skills required
  • Sketchup, Blue Beam, Photoshop and Adobe pro skills preferred
  • Smartsheet and Project Management tool experience a plus
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to gather and interpret data efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to cross functionally collaborate and problem solve across multiple company departments
  • Good presentation skills and ability to present concept ideas to senior leaders
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook experience a plus
  • High verbal and written communication skills
