Liberty Dogs is a premier Service Dog training program whose goal is to empower Veterans with disabilities to lead more independent and fulfilling lives - enhancing their well-being through the unconditional support that Liberty Service Dogs provide.  Located on a 27-acre campus, it includes a training facility, dog housing, an administrative and multipurpose building, and accommodations for Veterans staying on campus to train with their Liberty Service Dogs.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Salesforce, Web, & WordPress Development Specialist to join our technology team. This hybrid role requires an individual who can leverage expertise in the Salesforce platform (including Apex, LWC, and configuration) while also possessing strong proficiency in WordPress development and general front-end/back-end web development to build integrated, robust, and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver capable of working across all three ecosystems to deliver exceptional user experiences and business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Salesforce Development:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality solutions for our Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Experience Cloud environments using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and standard configuration tools.
  • Implement and maintain declarative automations (Flow, Process Builder, Workflow Rules).
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Manage data migrations and ensure data integrity.
• Web Development & WordPress Integration:
  • Develop, maintain, and customize corporate and customer-facing websites built on WordPress.
  • Customize WordPress themes and plugins, and develop custom plugins where required.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) for general web development tasks.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, web performance, and security best practices for all web properties.

• System Integration & Architecture:
  • Design and implement seamless, secure integrations between Salesforce and external web applications/services, with a focus on connecting WordPress data to the Salesforce CRM.
  • Participate in full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Collaboration & Support:
  • Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and viable solutions.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and bug fixes for Salesforce, WordPress, and integrated applications.
  • Assist team with any and all web or salesforce requests.
  • Special projects which involve web development or salesforce development skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of combined professional experience in Salesforce development, WordPress development, and general web development.
• Salesforce Skills:
  • Proven experience developing custom solutions using Apex (classes, triggers) and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce data model, security model, and declarative automation tools (Flow is essential).
• WordPress & Web Development Skills:
  • Expertise in developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience optimizing WordPress sites for performance and security.
  • Proficiency in general front-end development with a modern framework (e.g., React, Vue) is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with database management for both environments (MySQL/SQL).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1) certification or higher.
  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud (formerly Community Cloud) development.
  • Direct experience using integration platforms/tools to connect WordPress and Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and development tools like SFDX and Git.
