Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic, maintaining patient comfort, and supporting various dental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
• Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic for patient records management.
• Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and medical coding when necessary.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
• Knowledge of medical documentation practices is beneficial.
• Experience with 3D scanners and medical imaging technology is a plus.
• Skills in managing reception duties, including scheduling and patient communication, are advantageous.
• A strong understanding of vital signs monitoring will enhance patient care capabilities.
