A typical project would be 4 story over 1 story parking.

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and overall project coordination across diverse construction projects. The successful candidate will support project managers by preparing accurate estimates, managing project schedules, and ensuring seamless communication between all stakeholders. A strong background in construction management, estimating, and familiarity with industry-standard software will be essential to excel in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing detailed project estimates by analyzing blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers to prepare and review bids, proposals, and contracts ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Support project scheduling efforts by utilizing Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to create, update, and monitor project timelines.
  • Coordinate with field teams to gather on-site data, review construction site conditions, and ensure alignment with project plans.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and civil drawings to support accurate cost estimation and project planning.
  • Assist in procurement activities by sourcing materials, reviewing supplier quotes, and managing subcontractor bids.
  • Maintain organized documentation of contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other project correspondence.
  • Support project management activities by tracking progress, managing time schedules, and identifying potential delays or issues early.
  • Utilize construction management software to facilitate effective communication among stakeholders and ensure timely updates.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements for estimating accuracy and project efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a related role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction management principles including project scheduling, blueprint reading, contracts administration, and site safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of heavy civil projects or general construction processes is preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with contract administration processes including change orders and scope management. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85, $95,000.00 per year
