About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer specializing in Video to join our team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our core business—live streaming. Your primary responsibility will be to define and execute our video strategy, enhance the quality of platform video delivery, and develop innovative tools to maximize engagement and sales for our sellers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement measurement and observability, build robust video recording pipelines, and develop seller-centric tools that improve livestream interactions. Looking ahead, your expertise will help advance our video features to deliver flawless user experiences, inform long-term strategic planning, and lead innovations that enable peak streaming performance. Additionally, you will evaluate and onboard new video providers to continually enhance our platform's capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with scaled WebRTC systems.
• Proven ability to translate product requirements into scalable, user-focused systems.
• Strong engineering design skills and commitment to quality.
• Proactive problem-solving skills with minimal need for explicit direction.
• Experience with AWS and DevOps practices.

• Define and execute the company's video strategy to support live streaming initiatives.
• Enhance platform video quality and reliability through innovative solutions.
• Implement measurement, observability, and monitoring tools to ensure optimal video performance.
• Build and maintain the video recording pipeline to improve user experience and support troubleshooting.
• Develop seller tools to facilitate more interactive and engaging livestreams.
• Advance video features to deliver seamless and high-quality user experiences.
• Contribute to long-term video platform strategy, including success metrics and framework creation.
• Lead innovation efforts in seller tools and streaming performance enhancements.
• Evaluate, onboard, and integrate new video providers to expand platform capabilities.
