Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our kitchen management team, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality standards are met, and support the development of our culinary staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic hospitality environment, specializing in fine dining.
Duties oversee food preparation and cooking-To succeed in this job, a candidate must be able to effectively undertake the following day-to-day duties and responsibilities:
Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef
- Knowledge of inventory management, control procedures, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop culinary staff.
- Demonstrated expertise in food handling, cooking techniques, and restaurant operations.
- Experience in dietary department functions or specialized dietary accommodations is a plus.
- Background in hospitality or restaurant management is desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
