Server/Waiter

Job Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, patient, and dependable Server/Waiter to join our dining team in a warm and welcoming senior living community. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, ensuring residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience in our restaurant-style setting. You will assist with meal service, help maintain cleanliness in the dining area, and contribute to the overall satisfaction of our residents. Ideal candidates will be professional, attentive, and compassionate while maintaining a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet residents and guests warmly, take meal orders, and provide recommendations when necessary.
• Serve meals and beverages in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Assist residents with their dining needs, including helping with seating, menu selection, and any special requests.
• Ensure tables are set appropriately for meals, including placing silverware, napkins, and condiments.
• Assist with clearing plates, cups, and utensils after meals, and ensure dining area is clean and presentable at all times.
• Help wash dishes, utensils, and other dining equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service.
• Perform light cleaning of the dining room and kitchen areas, including wiping down tables, chairs, and counters.
• Monitor residents' needs during meal times and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of residents and staff.

Experience and qualifications:

• Previous experience in a server or waitstaff role, preferably in a restaurant or senior living setting.
• Patient, respectful, and compassionate attitude toward seniors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help with tasks beyond waiting tables, such as dishwashing and light cleaning.
• Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work varying shifts.
• Basic understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Schedule:
We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

• Alternating weekends.
• Schedule varies but we are open for dining from 7am-7pm
• Ideal candidates will have flexibility to work both shifts as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
