Preschool Teacher

Job description

We are looking for a motivated Preschool teacher to join our team Duties of the Preschool teacher include executing all responsibilities of a preschool classroom, such as designing and implementing lesson plans, supervising meal times, overseeing daily routines and interacting with parents. The ideal candidate should have lesson planning experience, knowledge of child development, and enjoy being with children. If you have previous experience in early childhood education, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Preschool teacher will collaborate with existing staff to create an educational environment in which our preschool children can learn, grow and develop.

Responsibilities:

• Create a warm, inviting classroom that promotes learning and appropriate child development
• Design, prepare and implement daily lesson plans that correlate to the PA Early Learning Standards
• Oversee daily routines and assist children when needed
• Interact with parents during drop off and pick up times
• Complete all require trainings and classroom paperwork in a timely manner
• Supervise and interact during outdoor play and learning center activities
• Collaborate with existing staff to promote a positive environment for all children and adults
• See to each child's developmental and personal needs as needed

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or higher
• Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances
• 2+ years childcare or educational experience

Additional Considerations:

• Child Development Credential (CDA)
• Associates Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Knowledge of Keystone STARS criteria
• Currently pursuing degree or completion of college coursework
